Fitness Camps

I’m very pleased to announce this weekend fitness camp to be held in the autumn of 2015. If you’re looking for an end of year fitness boost then this is the training camp for you!

Where? Picturesque mid-Wales nr Llanwrtyd Wells….an area blessed with a multitude of trails, quiet roads, hills, woodlands and home of the iconic Man vs Horse trail race.

When?  September 12-14     (3 nights, arriving Friday pm, with full days training on Saturday, Sunday and then Monday morning to finish – ideally taking a half-day or full day off work on the Monday)

Activities? No two workouts will be the same, and each will be designed to challenge you, including the following:
  • morning trail walks/runs – tree-lined routes are on the doorstep!
  • running and fitness fundamentals – agility, balance, co-ordination
  • upper body conditioning
  • functional core workouts
  • foam-rolling / SMR workshops
  • trail running technique for beginners and intermediates
  • wild swimming (optional, for the brave) – chilled recovery
  • “Great training boost for end of year events like the Cardiff half”

Accomodation: You will be staying in a large timber-beamed stone farmhouse with stunning views, log fires and a hut tub (should it be chilly). Set in a backdrop of coniferous woodland, with numerous trails and outdoor spaces, it’s perfect for some autumnal fitness training and getting away from all the distractions of city life. Rooms are on a shared basis.

Food: All food will be provided. The menu will be predominantly vegetarian, nutritionally balanced to fuel your bodies and keep you energized over the entire weekend. The focus will be foods high in natural goodness (and flavour) to aid your recovery and get you ready for the day ahead.

Cost: £190 for 3 nights stay (Fri, Sat, Sun) including all food and activities – 2015 introductory price, just in case we lose anyone in the woods.

Is it for me? I’ve trained in this area before and it is both challenging and relaxing with some amazing trails and outdoor spaces. Looking forward to seeing you in this first group. Suitable for almost everyone – being able to run a 5k would be recommended though. If you have any questions just drop me an email:
